My 1988 4 runner SR5 V-6 Automatic transmission will not shift to over drive when the air temp outside is cold. In the summer it is fine and if I let it warm up for about 20 minutes on a cold day it will shift to overdrive but it may down shift at anytime. You can sometimes turn the key of and back on while you are driving and it will reset somthing and shift fine for a while but then it may screw up agian. I have changed the TPS and the fluid and filter on the tranny but no help.

What sensor does the overdrive button activate when the off button is punched? Any other suggestions would be great.
